  • I dont think Daniel is "gone" in the sense that he left the island or that he is dead. i think Sawyer meant that he isnt there anymore in the sense that he is nuts now. Losing Charlotte really seemed to do a number on him so I'm guessing he is just still there somewhere drooling on himself.

  • We have already seen the island send its "ghosts" to the Santa rosa mental facility and to Jack's hospital, so I dont think it matters how close you are to the island. It seems to be able to project whatever it wants whereever it wants

  • I dont know anything about the North Pole, but Tunisia is in North Africa. I think Bogus is right. they put the bear into the machine to test it. It wound up in North Africa and since polar bears arent built for the desert it just died.
